Excellent Performance of Students in 9th Shandong University Mathematics Competition

On June 2nd, the 10th Shandong University Student Science and Technology Festival and the 9th Shandong University Mathematics Competition (Specialist Section) Finals were held. Our school won the Outstanding Organization Award and won 4 First Prizes, 12 Second Prizes, and 23 Third Prizes.
       Among them, Han Shuai of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Gao Ganshun of the School of Aeronautical Engineering, Qu Hongjing and Tian Ang of the School of Information Engineering won the first prize. Dai Pengwei, Meng Xiangbin, Zhang Guangyin of the School of Aeronautical Engineering, Fan Yichao, Zhang Caiyun, and Huang Yulian of the School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, Li Hongliang Gong Xiangsen and Yang Tingshuai, Zhang Xiangfang and Zhu Guangmei from the School of Economics and Management, and Wu Jijun from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture received the second prize. 23 people including Lin Haoran from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering won the third prize. Sun Jianwu, Tian Xuegang, Li Nianying and Tian Jiacai of the Faculty of Science were awarded the title of “Excellent Tutor”.
       The competition is sponsored by the Provincial Science and Technology Association, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, and the Provincial People's Association Hall. It aims to cultivate talents, serve and teach, promote the reform and construction of mathematics courses, stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics, and train students to analyze problems.
