On April 23, the 2019 College Volunteer Service Western Program Excellent Volunteer Deeds Presentation was held in the second lecture hall of the Academy Hall. Deputy Secretary of the Shigatse Municipal Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region, Basang Dunzhu, Wen Zhilin, the cadre of the Ministry of Tibet’s Rights and Interests, and Guo Li, Director of the Comprehensive Department of the Volunteer Action Guidance Center of Shandong Province attended the presentation, the relevant leaders of the Youth League Committee of the school, and the second level The general secretary of the college group and the student representatives attended the presentation.
During the event, a short video of the “Xinjiang Autonomous Region College Student Volunteer Service Western Plan” was broadcasted; five Western Planner volunteers introduced the basic situation of Tibet to the participants, shared their dedication to the West, the service level and the personal experience; Active communication with volunteers from the Western Program, the service experience and dedication of volunteers from the Western Program deeply infected every student representative.
This presentation will enable the student representatives to have a fuller and deeper understanding of the western plan, and encourage more students from the BZU to set out with their dreams, go to the west of the motherland, measure the land of China with their footsteps, and integrate youth into the mountains and rivers of the motherland.
Youth is aspirational and determined to be in the Quartet. The needs of the motherland are all my hometown. For a long time, our school has always attached great importance to the recruitment of the Western Plan. Since the implementation of the Western Plan in 2003, our school has been carrying out this work for 16 years. A total of more than 460 students participated in the Volunteer Service Western Action Plan.
