On June 24, the ceremony for the volunteers of the 2019 College Student Service Western Program was held in the third lecture hall of the Academy Hall. Song Shuping, deputy secretary of the party committee, attended the ceremony. The Student Work Department, the Admissions and Employment Office, the head of the Youth League Committee, the Party Branch of the Volunteer's Secondary School, the head of the General Branch, the counselor and 42 Western Program volunteers attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the school party committee and the administration, Song Shuping expressed sincere respect and good wishes to the volunteers of the Western Program and sent them a message of truth. He encouraged the volunteers to strengthen their ideals and convictions, and to tie their ideals to the future of the motherland, to tie their lives to the destiny of the nation and the people. The pragmatic spirit of seeking truth from facts and arduous struggle paves the way for the national rejuvenation and contributes to the construction of the western region. He called on the volunteers to vigorously carry forward the spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress and put all the mind and body into the flood of economic and social development in the western region. Investing in the basic needs of serving the masses in the western region to make their ideals and values of life shine in the dedication of the west.
At the ceremony, the person in charge of the Youth League Committee read out the Decision on Recognizing the 2019 College Student Service Western Program and the Shandong Volunteer Project ; the Student Affairs Department, the Admissions and Employment Office responsible person awarded the Binzhou University Outstanding Volunteer certificate to the volunteers who served the Western Program.
