On October 20th, the 2019 World Orienteering Competition and the Orientation Asian Cup (Rizhao Station) came to a successful conclusion. Our school students won the second and third place in the Youth W18 Open Group.
The competition was hosted by the International Orientation Association, the Aviation Radio Model Movement Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, the China Radio and Orienteering Association, the Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Rizhao Municipal People's Government. It is the first international-level directional sporting event held in Shandong Province. The first international orientation event participated by the school team, with two major competitions, sprint race and directional race, divided into three competition groups: professional group, elite group and open group. 50 international athletes from more than 30 countries and 220 domestic professional athletes, as well as more than 1,600 directional sports enthusiasts participated in the competition.
