On November 22, the National Finals of the Ninth National College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Contest came to an end. The work New Building Garbage Automatic Cleaning, Transportation and Sorting Machine Based on Color Recognition Module by Su Chuanxin, a student of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our school, won the National Second Prize.
The National College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition is supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance for college students across the country. It is held every two years and aims to cultivate college students’ engineering practice ability, innovative design ability and comprehensive quality. It is one of the most influential and effective college student competitions in China. With the theme of Smart Home, Happy Family, 4719 works from 678 colleges and universities in 30 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country participated in the contest, and nearly 100,000 students participated. The outstanding innovation ability, solid professional knowledge and good mental outlook of our students have been praised by the judges of the competition.
