Educational Delegation from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea, Visited Our School

On the morning of March 11th, an educational delegation of 6 members from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea, led by Education Supervisor Jin Guangzhu, visited our school. Li Weinian, Deputy Party Secretary and President of our school, warmly welcomed the visiting guests and held a meeting in the 216 conference room of the South Office Building. Sun Yinhe, Party Committee member, and Vice President of the school attended the meeting. Jin Yuhua, Dean of the International Education College of Qingdao Binhai College, accompanied the visit on behalf of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education.

Li Weinian warmly welcomed Mr. Jin Guangzhu and his delegation. He provided a comprehensive introduction to the school’s educational landscape, focusing on three key aspects: strengths, characteristics, and foundation. He emphasized that China and South Korea have a close relationship, underpinned by a long history of cultural exchange. In particular, cooperation in the field of education has become an important bond in the friendly relations between the two countries. Li expressed his hope that the visit would further expand exchanges and cooperation in areas such as student and teacher exchanges, international talent cultivation, industry-university-research collaboration, and explore new models of international education cooperation, injecting new vitality into Sino-Korean educational cooperation.

Jin Guangzhu fully praised our schools educational characteristics and achievements. He stated that Shandong University of Aeronautics has a distinct aviation education feature, providing a large number of excellent talents for the great cause of building China as an aviation power, making it an outstanding case in the field of education. He emphasized that Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has actively been promoting the internationalization of education, especially in the well-developed fields of aviation and tourism in Jeju. The cultivation of aeronautics talents is a vital and timely issue. He expressed his hope that both sides could leverage this meeting as a springboard to explore more in-depth cooperation in the fields of aeronautics talent development and faculty exchanges.

During the meeting, both parties reached preliminary cooperation intentions on student cultivation, teacher exchange visits, research and study base construction, and the development of research and study projects. After the meeting, Jin Guangzhu and his delegation visited Flying College and the Aviation Education Exhibition at our school.

Officials from Flying College, College of Aeronautical Engineering, College of Flight Attendants, College of Teacher Education, and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation participated in the discussion.
