Recently, participants of BRI Countries Youth Leadership and Humanitarian Capacity Building Program visited Fly College of Shandong University of Aeronautics (SDUA) for exchange. Yin Meiying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, warmly received the visiting guests.
The program, organized by Notional Office of the Red Cross Society of China and hosted by its Training Center, is a key foreign aid training project of the Ministry of Commerce in 2025. It aims to deepen multidisciplinary exchanges and cooperation among BRI countries through on-site visits and serve as a bridge for exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth.
Focusing on aviation education and cultural exchange, the delegation conducted an in-depth tour of Flying College, investigated aviation training bases, experienced flight training facilities firsthand, and gained a detailed understanding of our advanced concepts in aviation talent cultivation and practical teaching. Both sides engaged in extensive and deep discussions on topics ranging from joint aviation talent development to collaborative development of the aviation industry along the BRI countries, further expanding future cooperation opportunities. The delegation spoke highly of the university’s advanced aviation training facilities, well-established talent development model, and distinct institutional characteristics.
This event represents a vivid practice of our university’s active integration into international exchanges and cooperation under the BRI framework. Leveraging its aviation-specialized disciplines as a bond and utilizing international exchange platforms, our university is deepening cooperation with BRI countries in aviation education and talent development, contributing to the construction of a closer international exchange and cooperation network and empowering the high-quality development of the BRI through educational exchanges.
Leaders from the university’s Youth League Committee, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and Flying College participated in the relevant activities.
