On the afternoon of May 20, the Sixth Session of the First Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Shandong University of Aeronautics (SDUA) was held in Conference Room 210 of the South Office Building. Professor Li Weinian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the university and Chairman of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, presided over the meeting. Professor Du Wei, member of the Party Committee, Vice President of the university and Vice Chairman of the Committee, attended the meeting.
While presiding over the meeting, Li Weinian pointed out that degree conferral, supervisor qualification selection and enrollment program establishment were fundamental tasks for graduate education, which were directly related to the quality of talent cultivation and the level of discipline construction. He stressed that the standards for degree conferral should be strictly followed to guarantee the quality; application requirements should be scientifically formulated to control the entry threshold for supervisors and a high-quality team of graduate supervisors should be built; the layout of enrollment program should be rationally planned; and discipline and specialty structure should be optimized, so as to promote the high-quality development of graduate education.
Attending committee members carefully listened to the relevant report delivered by the director of the University Academic Degree Office. After thorough discussion and deliberation, they unanimously approved the list of postgraduates proposed to be awarded with master’s degrees for the class of 2026, the list of candidates to be granted master’s supervisor qualifications for the year 2026, and the proposed new specialty areas for master’s enrollment for the year 2027.
All members of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee currently on campus attended the meeting.
