To deepen university-enterprise collaboration and activate the momentum of industry-education integration, Shandong University of Aeronautics (SDUA) held a signing ceremony on May 22 for the practical teaching base cooperation with Binnan Oil Production Plant (BOPP), marking a new milestone in university-enterprise partnership. Yin Meiying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SDUA, Gong Xinjun, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SDUA, Yao Xiutian, Deputy Chief Geologist of Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Company（SSLOC）and Party Secretary of BOPP, and Huo Aimin, Plant Manager of BOPP, attended the ceremony.
Yin Meiying clearly stated that SDUA and BOPP have enjoyed a long-standing cooperative relationship and have maintained sound and efficient interactions in Party building, talent cultivation, technological exchanges and resource sharing. The signing of the practical teaching base cooperation marks a significant step forward in the partnership between the two sides, characterized by complementary advantages and mutual benefit. She noted that SDUA would take this cooperation as an opportunity to leverage its strengths fully in talent, technology, platforms, and resources, and help build the base into a first-class institution with top-tier infrastructure, distinctive features, and a far-reaching reputation across and beyond Shandong. At the same time, she expressed the hope that, relying on its partnership with BOPP, the university would further strengthen its comprehensive cooperation with SSLOC to jointly promote high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
In his speech, Yao Xiutian stated that SDUA has developed a distinctive teaching and research system in the fields of intelligent control, advanced manufacturing and inspection technology, which is highly aligned with BOPP’s practical needs in advancing intelligent oilfield construction and improving equipment automation levels. The joint construction of this practical teaching base marked an important milestone for both sides to move toward the future and pursue common development. He proposed that the two sides should make concerted efforts in three key areas: talent cultivation, scientific and technological cooperation, and Party-building co-construction as a guiding force. Their goal is to build the base into a cradle for nurturing high-quality applied talents, a research platform for collaborative innovation, and a red engine driving school-enterprise cooperation.
During the ceremony, Yin Meiying and Yao Xiutian jointly inaugurated the practical teaching base, marking the launch of comprehensive strategic cooperation in scientific research breakthroughs, technology transformation, and talent cultivation. Gong Xinjun and Huo Aimin signed the cooperation agreement for the practical teaching base.
Heads of the Administration Office, Organization Department, Academic Affairs Office, Cooperation and Development Office, School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, School of Astronautics and Mechanical Engineering and School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, as well as relevant professional staff from various departments and training stations of BOPP, attended the meeting.
