On the morning of September 23, the Shandong-Republic of Tatarstan Education Exchange Meeting, hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and organized by Shandong Education TV and the Shandong Education Association for International Exchange, was held at the Shandong Hotel. Shandong University of Aeronautics (SDUA), as a participating institution in the China-Russia Advanced Technology University Cooperation Mechanism, was invited to attend. Li Weinian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university, attended on behalf of the university and delivered a speech titled “Deepening Practical Cooperation for Win-Win Outcomes in Education.”
Li Weinian presented an overview of SDUA and highlighted its strengths and achievements in aeronautics-focused education and international collaboration. He stated that the university was willing to leverage the cooperation platform of the Sino-Russian Advanced Technology University Alliance and take this exchange conference as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with universities in Tatarstan, promote mutual visits between teachers and students, joint training programs, and scientific research and academic exchanges. To implement this cooperation, he proposed jointly establishing a Sino-Russian language center, identifying and coordinating cooperation projects, setting clear timelines and responsibilities, developing flagship projects, and establishing a regular consultation and feedback mechanism to ensure long-term mutual benefits. He also emphasized that the university would earnestly implement the requirements of China and Shandong Province regarding opening up in education and deepen substantive cooperation, and thereby better contribute to Shandong-Tatarstan friendship and serve the Sino-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.
This education exchange conference was held under the framework of the Sino-Russian Education Year. It serves as both a vivid reflection of the ongoing deepening of the friendly province-state relationship between the two sides and an important step in implementing the cooperation mechanism of the Sino-Russia Advanced Technology University Alliance. Eleven Russian university presidents from the Republic of Tatarstan and heads of more than ten universities in Shandong Province attended the exchange meeting, with five universities from each side delivering presentations on site.
The head from International Exchange and Cooperation Office of SDUA also participated in the event.
